Asian Kickboxing Confederation is pleased to announce the inclusion of Kickboxing sport in Iran 2nd Sport Talents Olympiad 2019.
Sport Talents Olympiad is multisport events organized by Ministry of Sport and Youth of Iran in specific age categories (From 13 to 16 years included), and specific program to identify the top talents athletes of country in each participant sport.
During the competition in each sport an specific committee composed by Management and members of National sport body and in Kickboxing case by WAKO Iran’s management, Coaches and Trainers committee and official members of Sport & Youth Ministry of Iran will have the duties to follow and identify the top talents athletes who will enter after the competition in specific education and sport program supported by Ministry of Sport and Youth of Iran and other national sport authorities.
Kickboxing competition during 2nd Sport Talents Olympiad 2019 will be held in style of Full Contact in Ring Division for the age of 16 only and in styles of Point Fighting, Light Contact and Kick light in Tatami division for the ages of 13, 14 and 15.
There will be five weight categories in each styles totaling 15 events. The eligibility of Participation is reserve to members of WAKO Iran committee in different provinces all of over the country.
The Participant WAKO Iran Province committee will deal with their own athletes qualification and have right to enter in each styles only three athletes in 3 weight categories among the 5 weight categories proposed for a total of 12 athletes.
The competition will be held from 21 August to 26 August 2019 in Capital city of Tehran (TBC).
WAKO Iran Kickboxing Association (WAKO IRAN) is official Kickboxing Association recognized as body in charge of Kickboxing in Iran by Ministry of Youth and Sport of Iran and Full member of Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO ASIA) and World Association of Kickboxing Organizations (WAKO).
