Nasser Nassiri, President of Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO ASIA) and Vice President of the World Kickboxing Organization (WAKO), participated as a special guest at the Regional Forum for the CIS, the Baltic States and Georgia 2019.
The Forum was hosted and held from 1st to 4 September 2019 in Issyk-Kul (Kyrgystan) by the Kyrgyz Olympic Committee with the support of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) solidarity.
The objective of the Forum was to exchange experiences, information on recent NOC polices, and best practices in the Region. The Regional forum attended by the leaders of the NOC of 15 countries including the President of Olympic Committee of Russia Mr. Stanislav Pozdnyakov.
The discussions of the leaders of the National Olympic Committees addressed the areas of common interest assessment of a number issues related to the development of Olympic movement in countries and summer Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.
During the period of the Forum, the leaders participated in various social activities and visited the National Sports Complex and Athletics Training Camp.
It should be noted that M. Nasser Nassiri chair the Solidarity and Sport for All committee of Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO ASIA) and WAKO.
Mr. Nasser Nassiri had the opportunity to meet with the Presidents of participants Olympic Committees in particular with Mr.Sharshenbek Abdykerimov President of National Olympic Committee of Kyrgys Republic who confirmed to recognize Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO ASIA) and supporting all its activities.
Mr. Nasser Nassiri before leaving the country was received on 05 September by Mr. Kanat Amankulov, the Director of the State Agency for Youth affaire, Physical culture and Sports of Government of Kyrgyz Republic (Sport Minister). Mr Nassiri had long discussions with Mr. Amankulov about the development of Kickboxing and sports activities in Kyrgyzstan and in the region. Mr. Kanat Amankulov confirm that the State Sport Agency for Youth affaire, Physical culture and Sports of Government of Kyrgyz Republic recognize Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO ASIA) as official sport Confederation and support all its activities.
Mr. Nassiri had also several meeting with Mr. Salamt Ergeshov, the General Secretary of National Olympic Committee of Kyrgyz Republic and we would like to thank Mr. Ergeshov for his hospitality and collaboration.
Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO ASIA), is an official member of Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) since 28 May 2007 and is duly recognized by OCA as the sole body representing the sport of Kickboxing in the Asian Continent.
