Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO ASIA) Championships (Seniors Divisions 2018 & 2020 and Cadets/Juniors Divisions 2019 & 2021)
Dear Asian members and friends,
We are following our recent communication in connection to the previous emails information sent to you in connection to the dates and place of Asian Kickboxing Confederation(WAKO ASIA)’s Champions 2018 and 2020 and would like to bring to your attention the following information and changes.
Since announcement of the Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO ASIA)’s Championships 2018 Seniors and Cadets/Juniors at the same time in Kyrgyzstan, we received from many of members the requests to split and organize separately the Seniors Asian Championships with Cadets/Juniors Asian Championships.
Most of the request motivations were about the annual budget of national Federations/Associations and the fact that it is difficult for the members to send the team in all Styles and categories and in Seniors and Cadets/Juniors Divisions. Other motivation and request proposal concerned that we should organize the separate bi-annual Asian Championships in Seniors Divisions and Cadets/Juniors Divisions in order to have each year at least an official Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO ASIA)’ Championships. (One year Senior Division and the year after Cadet/Juniors Division).
Your opinion is very important for us and our goal is to continue to working very active with all of you and assist you to develop our sport in your country.
Accordingly, this matter was discussed in detail among the management and the members of the Board of Directors of our Confederation during recent Board of Directors meeting which amend the previous Decision of organization of Seniors with Cadets/Juniors Asian Championships at the same time in Kyrgyzstan and we took the new decision in considering the information which we received from the candidate for organization of our Confederation Seniors and Cadets/Juniors Divisions Asian Championships.
Therefore, On behalf of the President and the members of the Board of Directors of the Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO ASIA), we would like to inform that the Board of Directors of Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO ASIA) has recently unanimous decided the dates and places of the Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO ASIA) Championships (Seniors and Cadets/Juniors Divisions) for years (2018 to 2021) as follows:
- the dates and place of 2018 Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO ASIA)’s Championships Seniors as proposed by Kyrgyzstan Kickboxing Federation (the Host) from 5th to 12th May 2018 in Issyk-Kul (Kyrgyzstan).
- the dates and place of next Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO ASIA)’s Championships Cadets/Juniors as proposed by Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO ASIA) with collaboration of WAKO UAE (together the Host) from 25 to 31 August 2019 in Dubai and or Abu Dhabi (UAE).
- the dates and place of 2020 Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO ASIA)’s Championships Seniors as proposed by Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO ASIA) with collaboration of WAKO UAE (together the Host) from 22th to 30 August 2020 in Dubai and or Abu Dhabi (UAE).
- the dates and place of 2021 Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO ASIA) Championships Cadets/Juniors as proposed by Korean Kickboxing Association (the Host) from 21st to 28th August 2021 in Seoul (Korea).
Accordingly, you will receive with separate email the full information package for upcoming Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO ASIA) Championships 2018 Senior Divisions which will be held from 5 to 12 May 2017 in Kyrgystan.
