2022-08-01 Asian Kickboxing Confederation mourns the loss of its brilliant athletes from South East Asia

Sarayut KLINMING, the Silver Medalist of Kickboxing competition of the 30th South East Asian Games (SEA Games), representing  the National Olympic Committee of Thailand passed away on 23rd July 2022 at the age of 25.

Sarayut KLINMING known as “Panphet Phadungchai” was a member of Thailand Kickboxing National Team of the 30th SEA Games Philippines 2019 competing in Kick light style -69 Kg and obtained Silver Medal.

The Asian Kickboxing community remember the Panphet’s final fight in 30th SEA Games Philippines 2019 in low Kick -69kg against Jerry OLSIM from Philippines which was qualified as one of the most exciting and spectacular fights of that event.

As per request of the Kickboxing Association of Thailand and as the athlete representing National Olympic Committee of Thailand, Sarayut KLINMING received a Royal Funeral, the highest honor.

Panphet was fighting a French athlete Anthony D in 5 round Muay Thai competition when he was hit in jaw with just 1 minute left and unfortunately his head hit the canvas and lost conscienceless when he fell.

Panphet suffered a serious brain injury. On Saturday night, Panphet succumbed to brain damage despite doctors’ efforts to save him.

As per request of Kickboxing Association of Thailand, and as the athlete representing National Olympic Committee, Sarayut KLINMING received a Royal Funeral, the highest honor.

Mr. Nasser Nassiri, the president of Asian Kickboxing Confederation declared: Today Asian Kickboxing family mourning the loss of a great athlete, Kickboxing Silver Medallist of 30th SEA Games Philippines 2019, representing Thailand Olympic Committee and National Kickboxing Team of Thailand.

President Nassiri declared: The entire Asian Kickboxing’s family share with Thai Kickboxing family the pain of the loss of  Sarayut KLINMING, a true sportsman and wonderful athlete.

We present our sincerest condolences to his family, relatives, the sport authorities and National Olympic committee of Thailand as well as the Kickboxing Association of Thailand.

As a sign of  high respect of Asian Confederation, our flag will be flown at half-mast at the Asian Kickboxing Confederation headquarters.
