Information about suspension of Jordan Association of Spots Kickboxing, and its members as affiliated members of the Asian Kickboxing Confederation
Dear Asian Members,
In accordance to the provisions of the Statutes of the Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO ASIA) providing that in case of the decision of suspension of a member, all Members shall be properly informed on the suspension of the relevant Member, we would like to bring to your attention the following:
The Board of Directors of Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO ASIA) during its meeting held by way of videoconference on zoom platform on 30 December 2020, after, long exchanges, review of the complaints, examination of motivation of the report of the legal committee, including the various related correspondences, determined that Jordan Association of Spots Kickboxing, its President Mr. Basel Al Share and Mr. Issa Abunassar have seriously violated rules and regulations and their obligations and have undertaken different actions harmful to the credibility and image of Asian Kickboxing Confederation, its President and administration.
Accordingly, the Board of Directors in conformity to the provisions of the Constitution in particular “Art. 15 – Power of the Board of Director” and “Art. 28.2 – Suspension” has adopted by the absolute majority to suspend the Jordanian Association of Spots Kickboxing and Mr. Basel Al Share as member of the Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO ASIA) for the period of three (3) years with the immediate effect and execution of some obligations no later than 45 days from the date of communication of the suspension decision.
The Board of Directors also in conformity to the provisions of the Constitution in particular “Art. 15 – Power of the Board of Director” and “Art. 28.2 – Suspension” has adopted by unanimously decision:
- to suspend Mr. Issa Abunassar and his participation in any Kickboxing events under management of Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO ASIA) for the period of three (3) years with the immediate effect and execution of some obligations no later than 60 days from the date of communication of the suspension decision.
- to impose to the Jordanian Association of Sports Kickboxing, Mr. Basel Al Share and Mr. Issa Abunassar jointly and severally refund Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO ASIA) the amount of 2.200,00 USD related to cost of procedure no later than 20 days after the notification of the decision.
Observation without prejudice to the above-mentioned decisions of the Board of Directors:
Besides, after adopting of the above-mentioned decisions, and taking in consideration the statements and acknowledgement of the President of Jordanian Association of Spots Kickboxing and upon proposal of the President of the Asian Kickboxing Confederation, the Board of Directors what is concerning the decisions of suspension of Jordanian Association of Sports Kickboxing and Mr. Basel Al Share, agreed that once (no later than 45 days from the date of communication of the suspension decisions), Jordanian Association of Sports Kickboxing complied with the execution of obligations the Asian Kickboxing Confederation will organize a meeting within three months with the participation of the appointed 3 members of the Board of Directors, Chairman of the legal committee of Asian Kickboxing Confederation and Mr. Basel Al Share in order to discuss, clarify and find the solution how Jordanian Association of Sports Kickboxing can comply with the directive of the Board of Directors of the Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO ASIA) related to its financial obligations.
with the participation of the appointed members of the Board of Directors, Chairman of the legal committee of Asian Kickboxing Confederation and Mr. Basel Al Share in order to discuss, clarify and find the solution how Jordanian Association of Sports Kickboxing can comply with the directive of the Board of Directors of the Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO ASIA) related to its financial obligations.
At the end of this meeting and depending on the possible satisfactory result to the Asian Kickboxing Confederation, the Board of the Directors will review and re-examine the situation for the possible lift of the decision of suspensions of the concerned parties adopted during the Board of Directors meeting of 30 December 2020.
