Dear Asian Members,
In accordance to the provisions of the Statutes of the Asian Kickboxing Confederation( WAKO ASIA) providing that in case of the decision of suspension of a member, all Members shall be properly informed on the suspension of the relevant Member, we would like to bring to your attention the following:
The Board of Directors of Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO ASIA) during its meeting held by way of videoconference on zoom platform on 30 December 2020, after long exchanges, review of the complaints and examination of the reports and various related correspondences determined that Mr. Joel Lye and Mrs Valencia Yip members of Kickboxing Federation of Singapore have seriously violated rules and regulations and their obligations.
Accordingly, the Board of Directors in conformity to the provisions of the Constitution in particular “Art. 15 – Power of the Board of Director” and “Art. 28.2 – Suspension” has adopted the following decisions:
– to suspend Mr. Joel Lye and Mrs. Valencia Yip as affiliated members of the Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO ASIA) and to prohibit their participation in any activities conducted by and under management of Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO ASIA), for the period of 3 years with the immediate effect and execution of the following no later than 45 days from the date of communication of the suspension decision,
– to delete any existing comments in media (Facebook, Instagram, twitter and etc.…) against Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO ASIA) and its leaderships,
– to provide a written engagement to refrain any comments and activities in media (Facebook, Instagram, twitter and etc.…) against Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO ASIA) and its leaderships,
– to impose to Mr. Joel Lye, Mrs. Valencia Yip and Kickboxing Federation of Singapore jointly and severally refund Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO ASIA) the amount of 800,00 USD related to cost of procedure.
