2020-12-12 Korean Kickboxing Association held online Referee and Coaches seminar

On Saturday 12 December 2020, the national Referee/Judges and Coaches seminar was organized by Korean Kickboxing Association the governing body of Kickboxing in South Korea.

Ph.D. Euncheon Jeong, Vice President and Chairman of the Technical Council of Korea Kickboxing Association, led the Seminar and addressed the important topics such as Kickboxing grading program of Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO ASIA).

Mr. Soonmuk Choi, the Chairman of the Referee Committee Ring Sports and Jeongho Hyun, Chairman of the Referee Committee Tatami Sports, presented revised competition rules which should be implemented as of 01 January 2021.

The participants also had the opportunity to enjoying the presentation of the Kookmin University lecturer Ph.D. KyuHwan Choi on nutritional intake to improve the performance of athletes.

More than 60 national Referees/Judges and Coaches from 14 provinces from South Korea took part in the seminar and actively discussed the implementation of the Kickboxing grading program and revised competition rules for the best interest of their athletes.

The seminar, which was held while all indoor sports facilities including the Kickboxing gymnasium were shut down due to COVID 19, showed the sustainability of “going without stopping” to Pandemic through research and development of Kickboxing sport.
