2021-02-20 Asian Kickboxing Confederation announces the General Assembly on 7 March 2021

The Asian governing body for Kickboxing announce the modality of organisation of its next General Assembly.

On February 20, 2021, the Verbum Law Firm, the independent law firm duly mandated by Asian Kickboxing Confederation to organize their next General Assembly, released the documents and related material to the voting members of Asian Confederation who are qualified and entitled to vote in compliance of the charter of the Asian Kickboxing Confederation.

The Verbum Law Firm on behalf of the Asian governing body for kickboxing notified to the voting member national federations the notice information, names and biography of the nominees and proxy voting card together with other related documents.

The Verbum Law Firm among other information circulated, the proxy statement detailing the voting information such as, record date and quorum, voting rights, required votes proposals, tabulation of votes. The voting members were encouraged to review the information provided by Proxy Statement in conjunction with our General Assembly of 7 March 2021.

The Asian governing body for Kickboxing intends to announce the preliminary voting results at the General Assembly, and in accordance with good business standards and the applicable rules.

Mr. Sina Zahedi, Secretary General of the Asian Kickboxing Confederation, declared: “Due to the public health impact of the novel coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19), to support the health and well-being of our management, members and in order to assure the transparency about the mandate of the President and the members of the Board of Directors, the modality and organisation of the General assembly on 7 March 2021 is the only and existing option as decided by the Board of Directors”.

Mr. Sina Zahedi continued: “On February 1st, 2021 the Asian Kickboxing Confederation released the Notice of call of the Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO Asia) announcing the unanimous decision of the Board of Directors of 30/12/2020 and the modality and organization of the next General Assembly by means of written resolution” and mandate of the Commission and Verbum Law Firm to undertake such mission”

Mr. Sina Zahedi added: “on behalf of the Asian Kickboxing Confederation, I would like to thank, the Verbum law firm, the Commission and all consultant and involved persons for the fantastic and great works they have done for preparation of the notice information, proxy statement, and related documents which is itself explanatory.
