Kickboxing Competition of 30th SEA Games Philippines 2019 another success for Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO ASIA) and South East Asian Countries members.
The event started on 6 December with weigh in and medical check and competition started on 7 December 2019 with participation of seven National Olympic Committee of South East Asian countries such as Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Cambodia and Laos presenting the Kickboxing Team with athletes in two Ring Styles (Full contact and Low Kick) and one Tatami Style (Kick Light) and team officials. It is noted that National Olympic Committee of Singapore despite of the registration of their athletes withdrawn the participation of Kickboxing team just a week before the competition dates due to their own rules and regulations which provide specific requirements.
The last day final (10 December 2019) was a great success and was acknowledged by organizing committee of 30th SEA Games Philippines 2019 as being one of the best competitions of Martials arts sport of the Games.
Vietnam dominated the ring styles and obtain 4 Gold medals in total all in Ring styles and 2 Bronzes medals (1 in Tatami Style and 1 in Ring Styles), follow with Philippines with 3 Gold medals (2 Gold in Tatami and 1 in ring Sport), 2 Silvers Medal in Tatami Style and 1 Bronze medals in Tatami style. Laos obtain the 3rd place in General Ranking by obtaining 1 Gold medal in Ring sport.
Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO ASIA) demonstrated its Asian Power one more time by organizing such as wonderful and prestigious competition.
We thanks all participant NOCs, Referees/Judges and official who came from all over of Asia and from Africa and Europe and all National Technical Official who assisted us during the event.
